According to my tachometer the engine idles around 750 rpm, even cold. If it sits idle for a few minutes, it boosts up a bit, but still under 1k (higher if cold and I swear it used to be over 1k, but not any longer).

I have seen several recommendations on this forum for a higher idle for better oil distribution and for anti-sooting...is there a way to adjust this myself?

:thanks

Edit: see DIY. Answer is there!

if cold mine has a higher idle like 950, but if its really cold (0-5F) it bumps up to 1150 or so
