I just added a coolant filter after coolant change and was woundering about DCA4. I have never heard of it or added this to my coolant and was wondering how much to add and where to get it? I have a 50/50 coolant water mix of the old green coolant. Thanks

Good move, IMO. ;tu

Did a Good flush and switched from the Green to the Gold, added a filter, 100,000 miles ago.. and never looked back. Pulled our 5r over every major mountain pass, a'cross every Desert.. in this Great Land.. in all kinds of weather. Never a cooling issue.

To each, his or her own.. But, at times, maybe we tend to make Advanced Chemistry outa this Coolant thing ? ;):)

Use what Ford & IH recommends.. add a Coolant Filter.. and Keep On Truck'n.. has been my think'n. :dunno

As I remember for a complete change out of coolant and flush it takes 4 pints. (bottles that Ford sells). Just to keep at recomended charge use test strips and add as needed. Hope this helps. Joe
