how long should it take

Does anyone know what might cause my truck to take up to 2-3 seconds to start after turning the key? i changed the gpr, the batteries are about 8 months old. is there a fuel problem? after started the volt meter stays down until the gpr lets go so i think its ok. i have noticed it does turn over much quicker after driving it for a while, could one of my batteries be bad? or is 2-3 sec normal? i live in florida so its warm. still starts but its got me ??????

Could be a bad battery (have them checked independently from each other). Could also be a slight leakdown from the HPOP reservoir, starter getting a bit tired, or battery cables/connections issues. Cheers!
