Hey all,
I'd like to do two mods to my 07 6.0l Lariet SD CC LB. 1st I want to add clearance lights. I've found all the info and links needed however the 2 wire connection for the lights, behind the passenger kick panel is not there. 2nd I want to add the OEM parking aid. Once again I've found all of the helpful links. The swich connection is there (behind the 4x4 selector switch) and there is a empty 14 pin connector behind the passenger kick panel with 12 wires. I believe this is for the parking aid modual. Is this correct? Also where there should be a empty connection on the back left frame rail for the sensor wiring harness there isn't one. Does the harness connect to a different spot? Or inline somewhere else? Here is the position and wire colors for the empty connector behind the passenger kick. Any help would be greatly apppreciated.

Thanks,

I could see adding the marker lights on the top of the cab...i like mine too...
you can always pick up the power from a parking light (say, off the turn
signal / park circuit or wire if nothing else)

as for the factory reverse aide...i think id rather add a nice camera then
i can SEE whats going on back there (and i can use it for trailer towing &
connecting) and you only have to drill ONE hole for a camera

there have been reported issues w/ the reverse aid...dirt or salt/snow
messes 'em up i hear

Speaking of rear mount cameras, I saw the other day at the Walmart that they have a camera with a small screen for just that purpose. It looks like the camera mounts to a frame for the license plate, so I don't think you would even need to drill.

Not sure about the quality, but for $100 I thought about getting one. Like you said, it would be great for hooking the trailer up.

The roof lights are plug and play if you use the connector behind the right hand kick panel.

bushpilot is right. I have the reverse sensors on mine. In the winter, they get covered up with salt/grime and are constantly "going off" because they get covered up.

They are nice, but making sure you don't have anything behind you is what those big elephant ears attached to each door are for!!! :roflmao

My buddy down the street put one of the $100 cameras in his F-150, works good and was easy to put in, just hit a back-up light wire for the "turn on signal" for the screen.:thumbs

It would be nice to interface that with an in dash DVD or navigation system... it would be a lot cleaner...
