help with towing mirror upgrade........

Hi, I've done a search here but didn't really come up with an answer so I'll go ahead and make a post about it. I have a 2004 F250 that I am getting ready to do some towing with this summer. It has the small mirrors on it now and I want to upgrade to the bigger, towing 2 post mirror. I would like to get the mirrors that have the lights and heaters but don't know if that's possible or if they are even compatible, that's why I'm asking here. So I guess I would be asking where to buy the newer style mirrors for the best price, and if I need a kit to make them adapt to my truck. I have a 30' enclosed car trailer and the bigger mirrors would be nice.

You can buy them from ford, with heaters and power mirrors they are probably over $200 each. Aftermarket mirrors all over ebay for half the money. I bought some off ebay and while the fit was good, the mirrors vibrate real bad while driving.

did you have to splice into the wiring or is there a connector that will work between the new mirror and old harness?

It should be there, as the majority of the trucks sold have the TT mirrors.

$550, wow!!! I found these on Ebay but I don't think they are heated wich isn't that big of a problem for me, they are pretty reasonable priced also. Would they be able to work.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the wiring harness kit that converts the round plug to the square plug? I'm converting over the 01 F250 to the 03 TT sig. mirrors... The parts guy at the Ford dealership says it is NON-EXISTANT!!! ARghhh!!! Thanks all!!!!
