Just wanted to introduce myself and say I'm excited to learn new things I can do to my truck to make it run even better. I am a one man show landscape company in Cincinnati and use my truck daily to pull trailer with Bobcat, etc. I have an early 99 black extended cab short bed Powerstroke F250 4x4 with the six speed transmission. It runs great and being a normal truck driving guy, I want to get more out of it. So far I have a performance exhaust, autometer gauges, an AEM intake, and a Hypertech Max Energy programmer. I'm looking for some more inexpensive mods and am getting ready to purchase a wastegate controller off of Dieselsite. Can someone tell me what I should set my boost level at? They recommend about 25psi, but I've read elsewhere that 30psi is ok for the 7.3. Can someone who has done this mod give me some input? I don't what to blow head gaskets, but I do know that more boost equals more power. Anyone have some other inexpensive mods to produce more power? Glad to be a part of this group and look foward to chating with many of you.
