So what are prices going to do? I checked around and the cheapest here is $2.44 a gallon. I have a 1000 gallon delivery (750 house, 250 for the shop)scheduled for Wednesday. All the places here were $2.44-$2.51 for 1000 gallon cash price. Should I go ahead and get the 1000 gallon order or are prices going down? are they going up? The local distributors are telling me that the prices have stabilized in the last few weeks after dropping about $.14. These darn prices are just out of hand. Our fuel bill for the rigs and boat last month was $550. I am almost glad that the river is starting to freeze up so I can quit burning so much boat gas. Then again I will start burning a bunch of gas in my old plow truck once the snow gets a little deeper..

It is the beginning of heating season and the prices will only go UP. I don't remember any drop in fuel prices during the winter. I would buy it now and you will be all set. It you want to play a commodities broker, that is your choice. >>>Stay Warm<<<

Since the first big coldsnap hasn't hit yet and winter upon us I'd buy in now even if it drops a few cents over a couple weeks.

My sister outside Philly is stuck in the same deal with heating oil, dang it's so expensive! -mad

I guess I will let them go ahead and do the delivery Wednesday. I know when I get the little envelope they hang on the door I am going to go into shock  .

I should have ordered my winter's propane this summer -mad . Ever since Katrina hit my supplier told me that prices were rising $.10 per week. Rita only made it worse. I paid $2.58 per gallon of propane and my price last year was about $1.70/gal.

Crumm, Fill 'er up...especially considering where you live.

Yep, wood went from $75 to $100 per cord.
I sure appreciate the prior owner installing the Hi-Tech insert with circulating fan and catalyst.
This thing gets quite a few miles per cord.

By California standards $100/cord is cheap. Fortunately I have dead oaks to fall and split each year on my property. All I pay for is a new chain for my saw each year (sharpening a dull chain is never as good as a new one). I have my own log splitter. This year I have 3 cords split, dried and stacked in my shed. :sweet

Just checked fuel prices at our local COOP. LP is $1.60 No. 2 fuel oil is $2.84 gas is $2.50 diesel is $3.18 All the diesel at the COOP is 2% soy blend. Minnesota has made it a law that all diesel contain 2% soy oil. I have ran it since April and havn't noticed any change in how the SD runs. They do a summer fill on LP around here and if you pay it off by Oct. they give a significant cut in price. Iv'e got a 1000 gal tank and a 250 gal tank full so unless it gets below zero for an extended time I should be good till March. I hope.
