Heated/ Turn Signal Mirrors

What year did they start putting the heated turn signal towing mirrors on?

I'm thinking about trying to find some at the salvage yard.

It seems my left side mirror kinda looks like it may have had an encounter with a campsite number post or something.

Thought an upgrade may be in order.

2004 was the first year for the turn signals. Good luck finding them.

I thought they started making them in 2003. I bought my 2002 just before the '03's came out (august 02), and it wasn't but just a few months later until the other mirrors appeared.

2003 was the first year with heat AND turn signals.

2004 was the first year with heat AND turn signals AND side markers.

From then on its been the same (until 08 when they were redesigned)

rubbing the campsite post to create heat is not the preferred choice of de-icing the mirror
i would think if you go the whole mirror change out, get em with turn signals

just to clarify...all the mirrors from '03 - '07 were the same. The only difference is that in 04, they began to wire them up for the side markers too.

Someone clarify, im almost positive thats right.

Actually, it jumped out at me from my blind spot when I was angling the rear of my truck away from the trailer so I could roll my generator up into the bed.

i would think if you go the whole mirror change out, get em with turn signals

That's what I was thinkin'. Telescope, turn sigs, markers & mirror heat.

you might be able to find them pretty cheap on ebay.. im waiting for the price of the '08s to drop a lil so i can put them on my 05
