Can I put a switch in my 2001 F350 from a newer truck (2003-2004) that has the autolamp feature and fog lights? Mine has the fog lights but no autolamp. If it does work, is there anything else needed to make the autolamp feature work? Thanks

do you have the wart lookin sensor on the dash ? Mines in the middle of the
dash, up near close to the base of the windshield.

the "wart" senses the amount of sun ? light and determines when to turn
on the lights.

the switch (or gem, i dont know which) controls how long the lights
stay on after the key is turned off...NONE of this is programmable (by
the user)..and ive never heard of anyone RE-Programming the level of
light required to turn the lights on OR the amount of time the lights
remain on after the key has been turned off.

personally...i dont like it & ive NEVER used it other than to try it and
see it work.

btw you can see the "wart" in this (attached) photo, next to the small gps
antenna that ive mounted inside the windshield.
