didnt find anything in search. this isnt engine related but we dont have a general 94-97 --

I had a headlight go out over the weekend and looked at oreilly and autozone sites. I dont want to spend $50 on bulbs but figure I should replace both at the same time. What are stock bulbs going for and what would be a good replacement that wont get too $$$? I saw several but neither site offered any description.

Thanks!

Any of the long life sylvania or whatever are plenty good bulbs for little $$

the silverstars would be my guess for big $ bulbs you're talking about. the lighting difference on the road is not highly noticeable IMHO

I have SilverStars. I've had a couple SD owners ask me why my lights are brighter than theirs.:dunno I don't even have the later clear lenses.

how about these?

According to this site they are compatible unless I missed something.

Only thing I dont like about that ebay seller is the "Seller will have no responsibilities for loss or damages during the shipping" part. If he cant pack it, he should fix any problem. But, he has 100% with a lot of responses so I suppose he probably packs well.

the things i've noticed about silverstars is that they are brighter than normal bulbs, which is nice, and at least for me they tend to last about a year before the low beams burn out. there have been some deals on ebay for them too

Whatever you do stay away from PIAA bulbs, quick burnout & not a noticable difference for the price (used to sell them along with Hella & APC at work) I prefer the Silverstars for a cheaper bulb, & IPF for a higher end bulb. The last rig we had IPF's in we always got flashed for having our high beams on, then we flashed back WITH the high beam & they'd either stop flashing or flip us off out the window.
