Hey Guys,
We just got the downpipe installed on our '97 the other day. That doesn't pertain to my question though.
We had a fuel leak in the back of the motor at the mechanical fuel pump. One of the big nuts on one of the lines came loose. So we tightened it up and it stopped the leak. While we were up there, we decided to tear apart the FPR next to the filter housing to check it out. We started to tear it apart and realized the line coming up from the fuel pump was going to be a PITA and put it all back together. Since tearing it apart, the truck doesn't start as well as it used to. It used to fire almost instantly when warm and even when cold for the most part. Now it has to crank 3-4 seconds before it catches. It also seems to smoke a bit at startup more than normal.
Any ideas?
