Howdy All,
Well the summer Refurb and PM continues. I have everything out of the cab except the dash. While it is out I am installing cab lights (running lts, marker lts) not sure what the real name is for them. They are amber and I got them for 4.40 ea. at Tractor Supply. My first question is: Is there a harness that is on the passenger side up front that I can simply tie into? I swear I remember reading that but don't know if it is OBS or the new trucks.
The next this is: What is this? It is on the passenger side and says Security System with a sticker that reads AU REC 2. Is this my keyless entry? I lost the remote years ago, is there a way to replace it without getting a whole new set up? I had forgotten about it until I saw the box. View attachment 1800
So while the cab is empty what are things that I should do / think about before putting it back together? I am installing heat and sound padding on the floor, doors, roof, and rear of cab. Putting in a shelf across the front, and as mentioned above the amber cab lights.
Thanks,
Craig
