Guage Readings

hey guys,
just wanted to run these by yall and see what you think. are the following readings all normal?

readings taken at 75 mph on level ground.

1. pyro- 650 F
2. boost- 5 psi
3. tranny- 160 F

i have seen the tranny get up to 190 a few times and the egt's get up to 1200 before. but thats having it to the floor of course getting on the interstate. all input greatly appreciated.

Seems right in line with what I see, you won't see anymore boost or exhaust temp without a load, or a heavy foot. As long as the check engine light doesn't come on, and the egt stays below 1200 degs, ur good to go whatever you're doin! It's been my experience that you don't want the trans temp much over 200 degrees for very long if possible, the fluid starts to break at or above 200 degs.

Cool. My tranny temp has never been over 190F so that's good. When I was researching about these trucks before I bought mine, I saw quite a few trucks that had the tranny replaced around 100K. I also read that the tranny was one of the ony weak links on the superduties. This still worries me from time to time. It does shift hard sometimes. Is this normal in our trucks?

those numbers look right in line to me!

Did Jody at DP tuner do anything to your shift points/firmness? That could be part of your shifting issue you are seeing.
