I am a Good Sam member, but do not have the emergency coverage from them. Has anyone used it before? Sounds pretty good for only $79 per year.

I don't have it now but will get it in Feb when my other road service is up for renewal. Have friends who have had it for a few years and had to use it a time or two and the road service guy always showed up with the right stuff.

We canceled our AAA to use it. Too many folds saying that with a large 4x4 truck that AAA didnt have the equipment to tow.

I only callled them once, but I got out before they got there. They werent that long to get there and had the right equipment when they did... Probably would have had a cleaner truck if I had waited though :)

AAA and Good Sam

We have AAA road service and members of Good Sam. It would probably would be wise to have both road services, since we are going on a long trip (approximately 10,000 miles) in the Spring.

We have it.. REALLY LIKE IT.

An example: In 03, on our way home, on a Sunday.. on a 2 lane Highway, with NO shoulder to speak of.... Blew a R/rear FW tire, changed it (CHP directing traffic) 10 miles down the road, the R/front FW tire went (now, no spare) (again the CHP). Called them.. because it was a Sunday he could'nt find a tire store open, with the tires I needed.. he was going to send a Low Boy to tote the WHOLE rig home (50 miles).

Called a friend, he brought me his spare.. we made it home. But the Good Sam Road Service was prepared to do what ever need to bo done.

It's a "WARM'n FUZZY" knowing I have the Service

traded in AAA three years ago for good sam. used it 12/31 to lift trailer and replace a blown tire on the side of 95. by the time i had the damage secured for road travel the tow company was there to change the tire. its amazing what happens to an rv when a tire explodes. the insulation, sheet aluminum, propane lines and water lines.

I've got AAA. Would the Good Sam membership send you a towtruck when you need them if you're not yanking a camper trailer?

AAA and Good Sam

We now have both AAA and Good Sams emergency service. On AAA they will only tow for 100 miles, but for the money, I like the idea of being double covered.

Thanks for the welcome DaveBen, i have been registered for a while but finnaly posted. i have lightly posted on oil burners and forgot about superduty diesel until i saw the link at the bottom of oilburners.

Yes good Sam is like aaa. they cover any vehicle you are in, yours or others, motor home, or trailer.

i still have not got the estimate on the rv but the ins. agent keeps calling to get it done.
