getting tired of banks

day after day,month after month in the truck mags and TV shows every PSDthat is "built"has used the banks stuff.why dont we read about the guys like BDP and wildman?i am sure thier stuff blows the banks junk away.id line up against a banks powered truck and give it a run for its money,but mine is a little dead at the moment.-mad

Gale Banks has a lot bigger marketing budget than the people leading the pack in PSD performance. I wonder how much those ads cost in the mags, not to mention the 30 minute long "Trucks" commercial.


Personally I think Banks is concentrating on lining his pockets and the others are more focused on pushing the envelope with the PSD.

Right on. Big Money, Big Name sells Air Time & The Printed Page.

Just my .02 but I'v been fiddle'n with these Dezelz since they first put one in a Pick-up, G Banks was one of the first to Un-choke'm, let'm breath. They've done alot of R&D.... but Personaly, I think ther stuff is Over-Rated and WAY over priced. I'm not so sure they >MAKE< anything.... they Market parts, put a "BANKS" sticker or stamp on it..... add 40% and market it. I have a few Banks parts, good stuff, but I know I paid WAY PREMO for'm.

I'm not Bashing Banks but in my dealings with them.... thier Arrogance offends me.... to the point where I go for the "Little Guy". Whenever I can.

You're inside watching TV instead of being outside or in the garage fixing your own stuff.




As for banks, They have a different goal from Bean & Tony. Banks has the goal of finding the maximum power that is useable at all times. They are on what people are buying and modifying, they do research once and market that product. The same powerpack for the OBS 7.3 has been out for the past 10 years. The modifications for the SD 7.3 have stayed the same since released except for the introduction of torque converters, Bighoss, & 6 gun tuners.

While we look at banks and say it's overpriced they have done the scientific research that is the foundation that the guys pushing the envelope are building on. Banks & ATS are 2 of the big names that have done the R&D over the years to develop the products, they were in the industry long before the small guys were. When you have guys who had the choice of a banks or ATS turbo (only choices) for their IDI 7.3 or 6.9 and were truely impressed with it when they update their truck they turn around and buy from the guys that have in the past proven to provide what they advertize.
