okay guys, i will be ordering my dp tuner before too long and am looking for some gauges. this was not a concern of mine to begin with, but after reading through many posts, ive decided better safe than sorry. however, im am not jumping for joy over the price. i see the ISSPRO EV 3 Gauge Kit for $327 on dieselmanor.com and like it alot but im trying to go as low budget as possible, but still have a reliable setup. i really like the a-pillar setup, but dont know if ill be able to do that on a budget. also, what gauges do i need? from what ive read, pyro, boost and tranny are all a must. would the stock tranny gauge not be accurate? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The ISSPRO kit from Dieselmanor.com is top-notch. Great instructions and products.

You can't depend on the factory tranny gauge, so definately buy one.

WOW Cratos, reminds me of my hotrod/ moonshine running days in Wilkesboro where we would wire up switches to kill everything but the fog lights while running from the law. :D

Nice setup!

Clint the thermocouple HAS to be tapped into the manifold. The weatherpack ( which I got) does just what it says. No butt connectors or solder needed, just plug it right into the gauge wiring " click" and your done. I loved it.

I got the exact same setup cept mine is underdash mounted. Took me a cple hours but probably more because I'm anal about how I route wires more then problems with the install.

And drill and tap that manifold with the truck ON! Don't worry it wont get hot from a cold start for awhile, I had plenty of time and someone has "borrowed" my tap wrench so i used an adjustable wrench! :D

Oh yea, don't over pay for that drill bit and tap. Lowe's has them.

The manifolds tap really easy! Just use oil or grease with the tap.

Dave

X2 on that. Just make sure you wear safety glasses. For some reason I decided not to on this little project and paid for it the next day when I was at the eye doctor having my eyeballs numbed up because I had some hot metal burn my eyes.
One second I am drilling my manifold next thing I know I have a doctor coming at me with a tool that looks like a dremel to shave down the burnt spot! :dizzy
Good luck.
