Roosterdiesel and I got my gauges installed about 95% of the way yesterday. :thanks :hail It took us quite awhile and we finished at 1:30am just as a storm hit.

We got stumped at the electrical hookup for the truck light switch/dimmer. Can anyone tell me how/where to get to the light switch to tie in my gauge lights?

Also - what is the best way to hook up the electric lines for the pyro? Power supply that is.

Thanks!

The rheostat is on the headlight switch. You can pull out the switch and you will see the wires and it will be pretty simply to hook up.

We tried that but on the OBS you cant pull the switch panel like on the SDs. I pulled the knob off and there is only the post behind and you can see a metal plate behind it. All the light wiring appears to be behind the dash and I really do not want to pull the dash to wire this. Is there another way to access the wires?

You'de be suprised the dash isnt that bad to pull couple screws and a couple little clippys (dont break the clippys). Then the switch is easy acess.

Use a fuse tap on #17 for pyro and tranny gauge power.
Use a fuse tap on #10 for gauge lights to dim with the dash dimmer knob.

Thanks!:sweet Now I know.:roflmao

That was an interesting learning experience! You OBS guys have no room under the dash! It was a PIA to run the SS braided line from the isolator for the FP and seems like the gauge is pushed out of the pod a bit by the hose since there's no room behind the factory pillar cover.-mad There was plenty behind the one on my SD.

Anyone know what the threads are in the filter housing if Txatty took the schraeder valve fitting out to install a hose with JIC fittings like what's on the isolator?

I think he is laughing because we spent close to an hour scratching our heads wondering what to do about the light wire. His is a SD so he can just pop out the switch. It was quite an adventure last night.

I felt like a real DA at Txatty's house. I don't think I like the OBS anymore! There was a vendor that had OBS instructions I thought but the site has been changed and it wasn't there.

:sweet ....Bryan....you know what that's supposed to be showing!:D
