hi, i am soon to be probably buying a garret turbo and wanted to know if it comes with a wastegate actuator? when i look at the turbos for sale they have one on there, but alot of people get the aftermarket ones and put it on the garret turbo. does the one it comes with on the turbo create low boost? if so what kind of boost does the actuator create.

Yes the turbo comes with a wastegate actuator. I don't know forsure what brand or type actuator it is, but it is adjustable. For background purposes, my stock turbo was working fine but had excessive amounts of sideplay and leaked large amounts of oil past the seals on the exhaust and compressor side. I was able to compare the two because mine was still in working order. My stock turbo made 23-25 lbs boost PIC with no adjustments on the wastegate. I installed the 38R and it made the exact same numbers. I then disconnected the red wastegate tube and got a reading of 32lbs. I started adjusting the rod shorter and shorter until I saw 32lbs with the red tube hooked back up. However, I'm informed through the sells pitches and forums that my waste gate is still opening early because the spring can only hold it shut so long. I suppose I could see some improvement by going with an aftermarket actuator, but I've been bitten by sells pitches before and my turbo and wastegate perform just fine for what I'm doing. I'll save my $139 at this point.

Also, if you've never heard a BB turbo then click on the last link in my signature.
