In my mind there is no reason for no fuel at this point.

Are you sure you hear the fuel pump running and not the vacuum pump.

If it is running maybe there is an obsturction either in or down stream of the fuel pump.

Some one else chime in here..........I am running out of ideas.

Many moons ago, I was running out of fuel with about 1/4 in the tank. I added some more fuel and it started running all right again.

I suspected a sucking air condition and decided to do the "Hutch" mod.

I dropped the tank and removed the pick-up assembly. As I went to grab the rubber intake on the bottom of the assembly, it literally fell off in my hand.

My point is that if they can come loose so easilly, maybe it's possible your's is loose and up against the bottom of the tank, sucking more tank bottom than fuel.
