I have a 2000 7.3 with 240000 miles. I live in SE Ga and we just now have been having some cooler mornings around 55-65. I have had no problems when I crank and let idle for 5-10 mins. If I crank and hop in and start down the road it runs a little rough and will eventually power down. I have to keep my foot in the floor and try to start again and it takes about a minute to get it going again. Once going runs rough for a bit and blows white smoke. After that it runs fine all day, what gives?

You should let it worm up a little. I have that same problem when cooler then 60%. May need to look at your glow plugs and see if there all work right. You could try this plug your block heater in and try the next day. If it does not do it then you'll know it's your glow plugs or glow plug relay.
