I agree, fill my tank full - I mean full, until I can see the fuel in the riser tube. I believe that is 30.5 gallons, I will put in 28 gallans while getting a calculated 15mpg therefore i have about 42.5 more miles to go til E but the calculator will tell me 75.
This is what I believe - it takes what it thinks is your average mpg and determines it that way, not what the screen shows you, but another number stored in the computer. I tested my theory by resetting the economy when I knew I would get worse mielage and my range stayed the same. This tells me it internally calculates and keeps some sort of average number it uses in its calculation.
