fuel milage

I am looking to upgrade to a 7.3 SD. What kind of fuel milage can I expect w/ 6sp, 4x4.

14 - 16 if you drive with a light foot. You can get higher if you get a good truck.

My 2wd 6sp has been around 18 mpg or so. I haven't taken the time to actually calculate the average over the past year that I have owned the truck. I have it all recorded, just have gotten the time to put it in the comp.

I have seen 25 mpg in my 4x4 6-speed. It is a regular cab, though. And that was non-stop driving (from NC to Canada). Most driving was at 60 mph, too.


I get 18 mpg with regular driving back & forth to work (all highway). That's twice what my car gets ..... so I'm happy.

i drive 15 miles to work, and 15 home, @ 55-60 mph and I'm getting 15.5-16.5 w/ truck in sig. I was hoping that the newer ones would do 18+. BTW I want a CC, I assume that they get lower mpg.
