I've been smelling a light odor of diesel fuel for a few days and couldn't find it. I finally found a small amount of fuel around the line going into the head just behind the alt. Is there an o ring in this connection or is it just a compression type fitting. I've never messed with the fuel system other than replacing the filter.

Have you also checked the o-rings on the fuel filter drain valve? I've yet to have a problem with mine, but that's also a common source for hard-to-find fuel leaks...

I checked all around the filter area. Everything is dry. The only place I found any fuel was right at the connection at the head. It looks like I have to remove the altenator to get to it.
