Has anybody had a fuel leak at the fuel line connector thats right before the fuel line enters the head ? I had a fuel leak to begin with and found it to be the fuel pump, a few months later guess what ? fuel leak again, this time it was the vacuum sensor on the side of the fuel bowl, now i'm leaking again !!!!!! but the valley is dry except for the very rear right by this fuel line, but ive never heard of leaks coming from here..........by the way hello I'm new and i'm a diesel addict (i've heard accepting it is the first step). truck is a 97 f250 supercab:thanks

Welcome to SDD! :sweet

There are o-rings at that fitting. It slided over the steel line, steel line goes into the fitting in the head, collar slides over the o-ring and tightens to the fitting in the head.

It usually leaks at the point, I've never heard of one leaking from where the fitting screws into the cylinder head, that's just 1/8th NPT.

Are you running ULSD? It could be the cause to the old o-rings starting to leak. We've had alot of injection pumps at work come in for leaks since ULSD was introduced here.

The fuel lines from the pressure regulator to each head?

Richard, those are the return lines, I think he is refering to the steel lines going into the back of the head. B100 finally ate my return lines and I have custom made B100 compat coming. I need to change the same orings he taking about on the feed side while I got it tore apart as well as the orings on the side of the bowl.
Fuel leaks SUCK!
