howdy y'all. i am wondering aboutfuel additives to clean my injectors. i have a 1999 f250 PS with 125,000 miles. do i need anything to clean the injectors? should i clean the injectors? is there anything to do this through the fuel system? would bio be the best thing to do this task? Or am i just dreaming a far fetched dream.

thanks doug

yes, bio would be the best thing if that is an option. If not, stanadyne seems to be the additive of most frequent choice.

if you use bio, keep an extra filter handy for awhile. It will clean more than just your injectors.

ok i just bought some of that same stuff, but call me stupid. i cant for the life of me figure out how much to put in when i fill up my tank. i beleive my tank is 40 gallons. i have a 1999 with one tank and i run her pretty well dry before i fill up and constantly put in about 36-37 gallons. should have made it past 1st grade i guess

I generally stick with the 8 ounces additive to 15 gallons rule which has worked well for us:sweet

We keep an ex-stanadyne 1 pint bottle for refilling and it has the measurement rule on the bottle.
