Hello all!
Well, I have long been anti Ford. I was always a Chevy man growing up. Well things change and Chevy out priced themselves. I needed a diesel to pull my horse trailer through the mountains and over somewhat rugged terrain. After looking long and hard at Dodge, Ford and Chevy I ended up with an '03 F-350 6.0L Superduty Crew Cab Long Bed. I know the '03 6 liter is not the most popular of choices but this one seems to be doing fine. The Cummins was my first choice but I take long trips and the cab is just not that comfortable. The Duramax is sweet inside and out but they are way to expensive. The Superduty has a powerful engine and the cab is sweet. I love everything about the interior of my truck. So, needless to say I am happily converted to being a Ford owner. This truck used to be a ranch truck so I am giving it a good once over and doing an all around maintenance routine on it. All the filters and fluids are going to be changed or flushed so I have a fresh start and know for a fact when the last time was that they were changed. Since I am a brand new diesel and Ford guy I will be asking a lot of questions and seeking all kind of information. I have already been reading through the old posts and learning a lot. I look forward to meeting new people and learning about diesel technology and performance.
