Now that we are past Labor Day, camping season here in Da U.P. is winding down, as well as things at work. Even though we are busier (proportionately speaking) than our larger store in Escanaba, folks at our store started getting laid off today. One of them was a gal that worked with us in the parts dept.
On top of that, her husband has been on workman's comp for many months. He hurt his shoulder at work and just found out yesterday he has to get yet another shoulder surgery in yet another attempt to fix it. The recovery time is supposedly something like two years.
So if that wasn't all bad enough, like I said she got laid off today. I'm going to miss her. We kinda leaned on eachother for moral support when all the B.S. got rather overwhelming. We could always depend on the other for a much needed laugh whenever it was needed the most. Tomorrow, I don't think I'm going to look forward to work like as much as before. Co-workers like her don't come along very often.
