Question Factory cruise install in '04 F250 diesel

I've got an '04 SD F250 diesel that has the elecronic throttle/pedal. I'm told that with this setup, I don't have to do anything under my hood. Does this mean that I only need the steering wheel switches/pad, and a Ford dealer to turn the cruise on at the ECU? I'll go to the yard tomorrow if that's the case, but I really could use cruise on my XL.
