I started looking over the harness I got from Powerstrokeshop.com. On Motoman's site, it looks like the harness is a two piece affair. I only have one harness in the box, and none of the connectors fit the light sockets. Am I missing a piece of the harness assembly or do you think I have the wrong harness?

Thanks!

Richard the kit I purchased was using OEM parts, the harness was all one piece which had five connectors that plugged into the base of each lamp assembly.

Cab Roof Lamp Harness; one end connected to the trucks main electrical harness in the kick panel and the rest to the lamp bases.

As said, it is one piece. This picture you are refering to is Motoman trying to show the difference from the non-clearance light harness and the clearance light harness.

Some of the aftermarket cab roof lamp kits connect to the lamp bases with different connectors such as crimp-ons,the aftermarket kits take longer to install versus the OEM due to the wiring.

I haven't seen motomans tutorial yet so I don't know what he utilized.

Bob Baumann from The Powerstroke Shop contacted me, they sent me the wrong harness by mistake. Thanks for all the replies. :thanks

Since I don't own a 7/8 slugbuster, and can't see spending $40 for one to make 5 holes in the roof, does anyone have any other ideas? I do see a 7/8 hole saw that the package SAYS will cut metal, but it looks too much like a wood hole saw.

Once that is done and the lights are in, I tackle the job of the remote start/security system I ordered at the same time. I'll try to write an article on it for the WiKi.

Thats what was used on mine..........kinda messy. Just run a magnet all over the headliner to pick up the metal shavings before buttoning everything back up.
