F250 Mirror Repair

I am looking for info on how to disassemble the mirror on my 2004 F250. the mirror is an extending mirror that comes with the tow package. The mirror is broken and I need to remove the convex mirror as well to replace both mirrors any help is appreciated.

here is thread, where i gave some instructions on removing the mirror cover (the back part).

but i am not sure about the actual glass removel.

The glass just pops off. It is held on with a couple of ball joints and adjusters. It should be done on a warm day. The glass kit costs about $50 from Ford.

Yes you can get the mirrors seperate. Just order the one you want and pull out the broken section. In a WARM place, just snap the convex glass portion in. It is that easy.
