I've never purchased an extended warranty on a new TV before but the newer flat screen LCD/Plasma sets are a larger than normal purchase money wise and was curious to who has purchased an extended warranty for their tv/s and if they're ever used their coverage?

I know the cost to repair one of these new tv's could be costly especially in the near future as the technologies change.

Was looking at CPS - Consumer Priority Service as a possible warranty service which offers renewable contracts before they expire.

I bought a 5year all parts and labor they come to your house to fix it if something should go wrong warrenty from best buy when we got our 52 inch LG plasma. It's just to big and heavy to move more than once. Can't tell you how good of a warrenty it is because we haven't had to use it yet.

I bought one for my Mitsubishi since it specifly covers the remote and a replacement remote is $275 or so. Five years of coverage was $150 if I remember right.
