Anyone got any good ideas on how to go about getting the tip off the exhaust pipe? I've got a Banks ss 4". When I loosen the clamp it comes loose but the tip is still on so tight that it won't budge even when I try to tap it off with a hammer and chissel on the lip. I've tried putting ice on the pipe only when its hot but I still was only able to get it to move about 1/8".
Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hmmmm, I bet she's stuck tight with soot and grit etc etc......... rap firmly all the way around the circumfrence with a hammer, get some GOOD penetrating oil like KROIL or similar and soak the seam good. Let it sit for an hour or so, rap again, soak again....repeat until you get her off.

cutting wheel or sawzall :D Maybe you need a bigger hammer. Bigger hammer always works no matter what your doing. Seriously, every time you think about it spray it down with some oil as stated above. I have an exhaust tip on a Harley that I worked on like this for a week. Spraying it down probably 10 times a day every time I walked by it. Never budged until last day then I could have pulled it loose with 2 fingers
