Excursion for Wife

Is there a year to avoid or look for? I have an 02 F350 and love it besides the noise, actually the noise doesnt bother me just the boss . I am looking for an X for her now. Anything i should look for? Any year better or worse than the others. I have heard enough bad about the 6.0 but do love how much you dont hear on them. Please chime in.

You can find bad things written and said about all of the trucks. Ford finally got it together with the 6.0. I have one and I have not had anything out of the ordinary go wrong. Pay your money and take your chances. GET AN OASIS REPORT from Ford on the truck you want. GIve them the VIN and they can run it for you. It will show everything that FORD has done the the truck.

if it were me...id look for a 2005 excursion. thats the last year they made them and all the bugs of the 6.0 were worked out by then.

I just bought an 02 and i am loving this one. It goes without saying though some older ones can be better than the newer ones if they weren't taken care of. So do some diggin' on them and inspecting and find the one you are comfortable with. I was looking at two. Both 02's and one that had 50K less miles and $2k less than the one I bought. It was one of those gut feelings that it didn't feel right and the owner couldn't tell me enough on the history about it.
