Howdy All,
I have found that one of my oil leaks is coming form the engine oil cooler. These things are not cheap. 190's on line and 270 at the stealership. I believe I have read before where it is best NOT to rebuild but go with a new cooler. So any suggestions on this and is there a less expensive place to purchase one? A side note my local International dealership said the one they carry won't fit on Ford trucks. Is this true??? I tend to believe Joat's parts list over the counter guy's beliefs.
I hadn't planned on doing any maintenance on the engine since I was going to have a rebuilt one installed. However, after thinking it over and looking in the local "Truck Trader" I think that we are going to spend the money on a 97 - 00' 4x4 CC. Please feel free to comment on this as well
Thanks,
Craig

I recall you were looking for rebuilt engines. If you did put a Jasper in your truck, they require you to put a new oil cooler set up in. If you don't and engine failure occurs they will void the warrenty if you don't show recipts for the required parts.

The fix depends on where the leak is. If the element leaks then the international will fit. If the aluminum header is leaking then no, it will not. BTW, a Jasper 444TE comes with an oil cooler.
