Engine noise level

I have been noticing that my engine is quite a bit louder than other trucks like mine that I have been around. What do yall think is the reason? I need some professional input from all of you powerstroke gods. Thanks guys.

How is it louder? What is the difference, hissing, rattle?

I can't explain it. Just the engine while idling and under throttle is quite a bit louder than several of the trucks like mine that I have been around.

Are those trucks also OBS Trucks?

Yes.

Sometimes the torque converter will rattle, otherwise the engine prolly just cackles different. The chip will make this cackle different. So if the other trucks are stock that could be the cause.

Mine is that same way, i have a few friends the have the same year of rig and mine does not sound like theirs idling or under load, mine is especially noisey in at higher rpm under hard acceleratioon like 2500rpm and above. I have run without the chip and does not seem to make a difference. I have the same one as you do EJPOWERSTROKE97,
