I have been thinking about this for along time wondering if it would be easier on the engine since it won't have to work as hard. Then come to find out I found it in a mag article and now on ebay. I was just wondering what ya'lls thoughts were on this subject. As much driving as I am doing now anything to help the engine out I am all for it.

I have did a bit of research on electric fans and from what I have read the Flex-a-lite fans like in your link seem to have a short life. Seems like most guys have better luck with used fans out of a Ford Taurus or Ford windstar Van. I am going to go scrounging for some at the local salvage yards this spring once the snow melts.

geonc over at Oilburners did a nice writeup on installing dual fans in a OBS truck and most of it would be the same for a Superduty. Click here to see the write-up.

I've read that they don't meet the cooling demands in towing applications. I'm not sure how heavy a tow brings on the limitations, nor do i know what climate this was in.

As much as I've looked into the concept of swapping out the clutch fan for an electric kit I had to take into consideration that the intercooler needs to have constant airflow for it to perform to spec.

You can control when they run. That would give you all the airflow you want at any rpm.

Wouldn't running the fans 100% of the time greatly reduce their life and be an amperage overdraw on an idling 7.3?

What's their amperage draw for the pair?

not sure on the amp draw, but you wouldn't need them to run constantly at idle. They shut down and come back on thermostatically, especially if you run a good controller like the one from DC Controls.
