Howdy All,
I went to the junk yard today and looked at vehicles that had electric fans in them. Here is what I discovered. Hyundai (Sp) not sure what year, Volvo, Saab, and 92 - 96 Ford / Mercury sure do resemble the flexlite fans when it comes to blade #'s and fan appearance. They are fairly large fans, which leads me to ask if 2 fans are necessary? I say this based on the fact that the fans in these vehicles didn't look much smaller than the 2 fan set-ups.

did you check with companies like flex lite that make fans for your truck and ask them how much CFM there fans push, then find the ratings for those fans and match em up... that should do it in theory.....

Obon,
By taking the fan and clutch assembly off you free up HP and increase mg's. The electric fans are mounted in between the radiator and the engine.
