Howdy All,
Heading out to the junk yard and was wondering which electric fan to go with? I have seen Ford windstar and Taurus. Which one is better and what year am I looking for? Also how much additional stuff do I need to get (thermostat? heat sensor?) just shooting in the dark, don't know what the names of the accessories to make it work are called. What should I expect to give for them?
Thanks,
Craig :cowboy:

I have been running for almost a year now with NO fan and no problems. Temperature gauge stays on the O of (N O R M A L). It has been in the low to mid 90's the last two weeks here. In stop and go traffic with AC on it has gone up to M on a long stop light. I have a 95 Windstar fan ready to install but haven't gotten to it yet. The top mounting holes on the Windstar are a close match to the mounting holes on my truck. It has a dual blade setup. I will probably put on separate switches, not sure right now. I have thought about one on automatic and the other manual. Fan cost $50.00 at salvage yard.

i have a tarus fan rigged on mine and it works great, noticable power increase tooit your stopped and want AC youll need a fan. In my mind the only way i would put my stock fan back on is if i do an intercooler install.

just my 2 cents
