Howdy All,
I searched the link from the last time there was a big discussion on this and copied a ton of info from it into a Word Doc. I am going to the salvage yards tomorrrow and a couple of things that I am missing or don't completely understand are the following:

1) I saw where JCART made his own dual fan mount, but doesn't the one that the fans (windstar) are on mount up in our trucks?

2) Just confirming that I can tie into ANY HOT with the 40amp relay so that one fan comes on with he truck? Still a little confused on setting up the second fan to run when I want it to.

3) Where do I mount a new temp gauge if I don't have a gauge cluster (A pillar) and more importantly do I use the connection (wire) going to the factory temp gauge or do I ran a new one and if so where do I tap into?

4) Last thing, do I switch over to a 205* thermostat from NAPA. I was reading where a bunch of people had done this.

As always, thanks for the info I know will be heading this way. I appreciate y'alls help :thumbs as we continue to make upgrades to our truck.
Have a good one,
Craig

1: I've got a windstar fan here (not in yet tho) and while it is about the same width it does not have the same mounting points. A little creativity is needed.

2: I mounted my relay near the fan and supplied fused power directly from the battery. Actually two relays, one that is activated when the key is in run that then supplies power to the fan relay. Less chance of the fan relay closing/sticking with the key off that way.

3: One gauge option, price unbeatable, is the Neo-Redneck Gauge Pod. Simple 2" ABS glued together at any desired angle and configuration. Most gauges fit snug, may need a little tape to hold them. Hard to tell in the pics but they angle towards the drivers face.

4: I've been happy with my 205* thermostat.
