Is this a good programer or is there something better for 97 2wd dually. It will be getting the exhaust and intake soon also, Thanks J.

Programmers are good. But a Chip is more convenient because you can switch the power settings "on the fly" w/a turn of the knob.

I have one for my 02 7.3 f-250. it is a great starter but you will soon want more. i went with the edge juice w/ attitude combined with the evolution they have made me very happy with the performance of my truck. the good thing about the evolution is you can retrieve codes and clear them if needed.
the down fall is you dont have boost level on the fly. it takes a few minutes to program. and you dont have exhaust gas temp gauge with the system. the edge attitude has that and more as far as gauges go. you get egt, boost, rpm, and back down all in one. if this is your first kit i would save for the edge juice w/ attitude or something that comes with gauges if you are on a buget. like i said earlier the both work great together but if i had a choice it would be juice /w attitude first.

Yes, that is a good Chip. I have it as well do a bunch of others on here.

you may already know this but, you will not see more than 75 hp gain with stock injectors so unless you want high idle and a couple of the options a flip chip will give over a programmer, the edge will suit you well. I just got one and set my 97 to the 80 hp Race setting. The code reader/clearer is a great thing to have. You really wont go wrong with either the edge or the TS. It is just a matter of what you are trying to get out of it.

Im really not trying to race it or anything just want it to tow my camper and maybe pick up the MPG some. Camper weights 7500 loaded, maybe a couple of quads in the bed. With family and all that about 9000lbs Im sure. Thanks.
