I disconnected the EBPV under the turbo, left the rod connected for now. Is there another sensor or connection in front of the HPOP that needs to be disconnected. I have read some confusing stuff on this subject. I got the SES after I disconnected it and will buy the terminator to cure that next week.

Thanks

You unplugged the wire on the front of the pedistal?
The HP-X would run right underneath it. I see another post that showed disconnecting a sensor on the front of the HPOP (towards radiator) going straight down (wiring pointing up) by the waterpump . Didn't know if I needed to disconnect it. I will find it and send it to you.

Thanks,

DZL_X_4X4,

Last week I disconnected the EBPV connector under the turbo pedestal. I left the rod alone. I have not had any SES issues at all. Perhaps the X is wired a little differently than the F250:dunno

You may be correct, because I pulled 4 Codes P238, P1260,P475, P541. One of the others may have caused the SES. But I bet you will have a code set if you have a code reader.

P0475 b EPR Exhaust pressure control valve malfunction Open/grounded ckt., solenoid open/shorted, failed PCM

I am thinking of buying the connection terminator to stop the code, but if it doesn't effect performace and it doesn't trigger a SES, then why. Does it effect performance?

Thanks!
