Early morning transmission issues....

I have noticed the last couple of mornings that I drove my truck, the transmission acted like it didn’t want to go. I put it in drive, and waited for the familiar grab, but it didn’t happen as soon as before. It waited several more seconds, and then after that it was OK.
It was a cool morning down to the 40s…
Is this tales of something more to come ???-mad
I haven't noticed any slippage or anything else except the early AM not wanting to go, and thats only been a couple three times.

PS... This is a Jasper warrenty replacement for a Jasper that went bad before the 1 year warrenty, and it only has about 8K on it.

We use Jasper motors/trannies at work and have incidental issues, but nothing major. Have you changed the fluid? Also does it have overdrive? If it is the three speed trans there is a vacuum modulator on the trans.

What you are probably experiencing is a problem with your check valve in the in the rear cooler line ( return side). It is more than likely allowing the converter to leak back and when you start up in the morning the pump has to refill the system before it will pull.

I think the next thing I may do and someone please advise me here!!! is to:
#1 Change the transmission fluid
#2 Install some kind of transcommadn something or the other, (here is where I need the help !!)

I understand that its not too hard, but when you have never done any transmission work before its a little intimidating.
One good thing though, is the tranny has a drain plug.
