the hinge pins are worn out, and I am trying to remove the door to fix them, and I cannot figure out how to unplug all the wires. I found one behind the e-brake, and the other goes up under the dash. Do I chase it up behind everything, or do I remove the door panel, and unplug something in the door?

Unplug it inside the door it self. Stuff all of the wires to the outside of the door and let them hange loose. I use a floor jack and a 2x4 to hold the door while I pull the hinge bolts loose.

i will be easier and quicker for you to get a dremel with a cutoff wheel or a small blade on a sawzall and cut the 2 pins in half and drive them out.have a friend there to help hold the door while you drive the old bushings out, drive the new bushings and pins in.if you unbolt the hinges youre gonna fight with it forever to get it lined back up right.

i ended up taking the door apart, and getting enough slack to set the door on a trash can. And yes I am fighting getting it lined back up. At least it closes now. At first the front hit the fender, and wouldn't close.
