a few nights ago i was coming home from the shore and noticed my light came on just as i passed the service station on the Garden state parkway so i figured in 16ish miles id get off the exit and hit the station right off the ramp (where my 73 maverick was impounded 6 months ago-mad ) so i pulled in and up to the pump and told the guy to fill it up (tried diesel power additive) at over $100 it stoped and i went on my merry way. i arrive home with in 10 minutes and noticed my gauge already started to drop so i just figured it wasnt filled all the way. now after 2 days i check the miles and at 107 ive used over 3/8 of a tank of fuel. i havent ran the AC for more then 15 mins total this whole tank, and havent been idleing. i know my MPGs are gonna be disgustingly low and its all cause of bad fuel. is there anything that i can do to have someone come in and test there fuel and give em a problem?

thanks for bareing with me on this long post.

I had similar thing happen to my EX. Only water was NOT the problem. My problem was that Union 76 [or whatever they are called nowadays] shuts the pump OFF at $100. My gauge showed full, but after driving a while it seemed to drop too fast. At $3.15 per gallon you get about 32 gallons. That's 12 gallons short of FULL. To get a full tank, you have to shut off the pump and start it up again.

You need to feel it up again and ck the mpg on that tank. Then start looking for a good grade of fuel. I try real hard not to buy from EXXON.
