Diesel Power Magazine

I was just wondering how many of you guys are subscribers to Diesel Power and what you think of it. I just received my 8th issue and really enjoy some of the articles, personally I love the magazine and would recommend it to any diesel nut.

I buy it when I see it on the stands. I don't think I'll subscribe though. I've seen anough exhaust and intake installs done with my own hands. It's nice to see different trucks from around the country in the pictures, but that isn't really worth my money. It just seems to be a few months behind what I've already learned online.

It's barely-amusing crap, IMO and if I want to look at a bunch of ads, I'll go online and see 'em for free vs. paying for a magazine that's 75% advertising and a couple articles about the same-o, same-o mods that have been done to death already.

I read both of these and just found a new one (new to me) called 'Diesel World'.-popcorn

Yep--when it first came out, it seemed as if every issue was a 200-page Banks ad and the last couple I've paged through have been just as bad, but for NADP, not Banks. -mad

Like the mag but like TX says way to many adds. They need to put more hands on stuff in the mag. IE."DIY" I will buy the mag and the store and get home and read all the articles in about 1 hour. I have sent them an email to see if they would put more articles in the mag. Haven't gotten a reply yet.
