All my shooting for my CPL class was at 21'. They said the reason for that distance was statistically, it was the average shooting distance in a "home defense" situation. The target at that distance was a paper plate, representative of a target area size for a "kill shot".

When I went to the range with my son around last Christmas, I wheeled the target out to max distance which had to be pretty close to 50'. I was still able to put all the rounds in the "kill area" on the silhouette target.

I renewed last year. School ruined my eyes. I only shot a 245 out of 250 possible. Darn it.

If you guys do any traveling, you should look into the Utah cwp. They cover more states than any other. My wife has the CA. cwp, and I have the Utah cwp. so we have most of the states covered.

I don't really understand how you worded that..
did a round get stuck in the throat of the chamber and the slide not go into battery?

yup it stopped before it entered the barrell,
got home and field stipped ol girl and found a few grains of sand in the workings,
and some of the bullets were gritty

i cant imagine where the sand came from, i jsut cleaned it tow days earlier and it was all spotless, i guess the wind blew some in while i reloading the clip at the range :dunno
