Wed. my son and I flew to Dallas to pick up a truck that he bought. He's finally back in a diesel since he got rid of my old SD to get a Toyota. Now for the bad part, it's a Dodge. 06 4 door cummins one ton with a 6 speed and only 18k. We drove it home 1100 miles and got around 17mpg at 75 to 80 mph. So now that we will both be pulling the same trailers with the same loads it ought to be interesting which truck does better at different things towing. I have a 36ft. 3 axle 21k gooseneck, 24ft 12k gooseneck, 24ft tongue hitch enclosed 7k, and a 7k tongue hitch TT. Let the fun begin.

when it comes to dodges, the story with me is RACE THEM!!!! take a 450hp dodge and put it against a 350hp powerstroke and the powerstroke usually pulls ahead!!! i know b/c my brother has a dodge at 425hp and my truck might be 350 now, but still i smoke that dang thing!! haha

My son talked to the guy he bought the truck from the other day. He had been looking for a truck with an auto trans to replace the Dodge for pulling his camper. Well now he bought a 06 F-250 SD diesel. At 64 he finally came to his senses. HA HA

not saying I'd drive one, which I wouldn't, but I won't bust on you for driving one...
