Im wishing I had never started this damn project but here it is.

I bought the ebay clutch linkage "fix" and now have it irreversibly started. I got it all put in (a HUGE PITA and hardly worth it) and the clutch did not go in far enough to even start. So now I have the damn thing off again and the arm adjusted to where I think it should be. However, I cannot get the damn bolt through the arm due to the angle. The clutch piston rod is too far back and I can't muscle it forward enough.

How can I partly push in the clutch rod so that I can thread the bolt?

HELP!

:thanks

well I got it. It was hardly worth the 4 hours it took but it's on there now. it makes the clutch feel good and I wont have to fool with that stupid plastic bushing anymore but I wouldnt do it over again.

Here is a picture of how worn the eye and the arm pin were.
