Clockspring and AIC?

If my clockspring has gone bad, can anyone think of a reason that would cause the AIC to quit working? The display on the AIC still shows engine RPM's, but it won't work to raise idle speed. I suspect the clockspring is broken since my cruise has gone T-U (buttons on the steering wheel light up but CC won't engage), but I've got no idea how that would interconnect with the AIC. :dunno :dunno :dunno

jv it mght be reading the cruise no worky as a fault or safety that prevents idle ramp up. it may think your trying to set cruise do to a missing sense voltage or not or something along those lines,


my SEIC (aic) has a bunch of built in safeties, e brake on, engine oil and coolant the right temp, prndl lever in park, stabilized idle,
