Mine was simple. Unhook batteries, PCM came out easy by loosening l.f. fender liner. Remove factory cover on PCM & make sure all the rubberized coating on the terminals Is removed, I used 180 grit paper, they supplied me with a small piece of 400 scotch brite( make sure they are clean both sides).I had to remove the L. kick panel& the parking brake assembly to plug in the chip. You might also make sure the wires don't get pinched when you bolt the parking brake back in.Then put the dial where you wish& Hook up batts .They will probably supply you with inst instructions You won't believe the diff.If there is anything I forgot I would expect someone else will add to this A. Make sure you don't remove anything except the coating. Once you get through the coating the tin is very thin. The terminals on the PCM were originally intended just for Ford to test the PCM before packaging it up.
